Synopsis: “Naoko Noda, who works in a trading company, is called “anego” by her younger co-workers. What is “anego”? It means “older sister,” but in this case it is given as a nickname to Naoko because she is like a big sister to her coworkers, who depend on her to give them advice about everything.” Quote from DramaWiki
My comment: I’ve never seen Shinohara Ryoko played in other dramas which I think what’s a shame cause after seeing “Anego” I really like her performance and I also think she’s beautiful. Hopefully I can see other her dramas.
The script did a good job in making Naoko Noda capture audience’s hearts because her character is sincere and real human being both good and bad person. She is called “Anego” firstly from Kurosawa Akihiko played by Akanishi Jin, a new employee who is younger than Naoko around 10 years. As the drama goes on, they’ve developed their relationship from co-worker to something like a couple. However Naoko is involved with an ideal man of her dream but the problem is that he’s married with Naoko’s ex-colleague who admires her.
This makes things complicated and keeps the audiences watching the drama. Moreover, I like the part that Naoko talks to the camera in the beginning of each episode which I was enjoyed during that time.
This drama can look through a 30s-aged single woman like me. The part that we have to admit that we still don’t get married and yet we keep hoping to see the right person for us which I truely know that it’s very hard to happen. Although I don’t agree with some Naoko’s decisions but I can understand her as the script can support her acts.
The romantic part between Naoko and Kurosawa is quite fine despite the fact that she is older than him about 10 years which it’s not normal situation in the past for romantic relationship between older women and young men. I have to admit that they look good together however I still get a bit awkward feeling due to their 10-year difference. Anyway during watching this drama, I kept wishing they can be together in the end which you have to see by yourself for the answer.
Script: 4.5/5 | Casting: 4.5/5 | Production: 4.0/5 | Soundtrack: 4.0/5
Overall: 4.25/5
P.S. I’m a bit disappointed in Special Episode cause I think it looks like a recap and nothing moves on. In my opinion, they could do better.
